These are stressful times for everyone. We have been fans of apps for mindfulness for a long time and now is no different. Apps like Calm and Headspace are offering free or discounted resources as well as daily meditation classes to help you check your mental health a priority.
Fitness
NHS fitness studio exercise videos are a great way to get in exercise every day.
Take your pick from 24 instructor-led videos across our aerobics exercise, strength and resistance, and pilates and yoga categories.
Mental Health
Having good mental health helps us relax more, achieve more and enjoy our lives more. The NHS Every Mind Matters website has advice and practical tips to help you look after your mental health and wellbeing. They also have a list of free mental health apps.
Cooking
There are loads of cooking tutorials and recipes already out there. Why not try a new recipe or join in on a live cook along such as #KeepCookingCarryOn hosted by Jamie Oliver.
Reading and listening
There are a selection of free Kindle ebooks and Audible audiobooks available online.
Music concerts
Amazing musicians are hosting live concerts to enjoy while social distancing . The official charts has a list of live stream concerts you don’t want to miss. Also why not check out your favourite artist and see if they are up to.
Art
With many of us having much more time on our hands than normal, the unexpected free time can also be a good chance to get started on the hobby you’ve always been meaning to try.
Art is a wonderful activity to take up during lockdown. Not only is it very mindful, helping to ease symptoms of anxiety,but there’s also something lovely about the creative aspect.
